The Challenge
A regional school district faced mounting concerns about security at one of its key technology labs. Shortly after installation, three juvenile assailants attempted a break-in at the lab. Security footage captured them striking the windows repeatedly over the course of nearly an hour. Thanks to the SW600 laminate, the glass withstood the sustained assault—resisting shattering and maintaining its structural integrity throughout the entire event.
Although the intruders eventually exploited a weakness in the window frame—unrelated to the glass or its reinforcement—the laminate’s performance bought critical time and prevented a swift entry. This delay minimized the potential for widespread damage and protected the district’s high-value equipment.
